How Quota is Consumed

The system uses smart consumption:

Monthly subscription quota is used first
When monthly quota runs out, purchased quota is used
Purchased quota carries over month to month

Example

Month starts:
  Monthly quota: 100 (Free tier)
  Purchased: 500
  Total available: 600

After using 150 translations:
  Monthly quota: 0 (used 100)
  Purchased: 450 (used 50)

Next month (monthly resets):
  Monthly quota: 100 (reset)
  Purchased: 450 (preserved)
  Total available: 550

More Consumption Scenarios

Scenario: Translating a new feature You add 50 new translation keys for a checkout flow and use "Translate Missing" to translate them into 4 languages. This consumes 200 units (50 keys x 4 languages).

Scenario: Code Scanner with AI You run translator:scan --ai and the scanner finds 30 hardcoded strings. The AI analysis costs 30 units (1 per candidate). Approving and translating those keys afterward is a separate operation that consumes additional quota.
