Currency & Display Settings

LangSyncer supports multiple currencies for billing. Set your preferred currency for subscription and quota pack payments.

Supported Currencies

Currency Code Symbol
Euro EUR
US Dollar USD $

LangSyncer currently supports Euro (EUR) and US Dollar (USD) for all billing operations. Prices are set independently for each currency — they are not converted at live exchange rates, so the EUR and USD amounts may differ slightly.

Setting Your Currency

  1. Go to Accounts
  2. Click Edit on your account
  3. Find the Billing Currency section
  4. Select your preferred currency

How Currency Affects Billing

Subscriptions

When you subscribe, you're charged in your selected currency:

  • EUR pricing if EUR is selected
  • USD pricing if USD is selected

Quota Pack Purchases

One-time purchases are charged in your current currency setting at time of purchase.

Changing Currency

Changing your currency only affects new subscriptions and purchases:

  • Active subscriptions remain in their original currency
  • New quota pack purchases use the new currency
  • To change subscription currency, cancel and resubscribe

Currency changes take effect on your next purchase or new subscription. If you switch from EUR to USD, any quota packs you buy afterward will be charged in USD. Your existing Icebreaker subscription, if active, continues in its original currency until you cancel and create a new subscription.

FAQ

Do prices change when I switch currencies?

Prices are set independently per currency, not converted at live exchange rates. Switching from EUR to USD (or vice versa) may result in slightly different pricing. Check the subscription and quota pack pages after switching to see the updated amounts.

What if my card is in a different currency?

Your bank handles the currency conversion automatically. LangSyncer charges in the currency you selected (EUR or USD), and your bank converts this to your card's native currency. LangSyncer does not add any currency conversion fees, but your bank may apply foreign transaction fees — check with your bank for details.
